Quake style console on Ubuntu
February 7, 2013 10:31 pm Leave your thoughtsIf you are like me, requiring to open the Linux terminal every now and then in order to do test some of your codes. Then this tool, will be useful.
Guake Terminal. The name comes from the game Quake. Remember the good ol’ days when we press tilde in-game and a console just drops on quarter top of the screen so that we can enter custom game params or… cheats? Well, this little software does the same thing.
Since it’s already in most linux distribution, in my case Ubuntu, you can just type:
1 |
apt-get install guake |
So, pressing F12 on my system will now show the terminal console, handy when I need to quickly run Grunt, Node scripts, etc.
Anyway this is one of the many linux ubuntu commands that I have found….
